Plains Indian Style Buckskin Dress

This three-hide dress is typical of the Plains Indian dress worn by many tribes. It may be decorated with beading, quillwork, shells, fur and trade cloth. For everyday use the dress was worn without adornment. This particular example is in smoke colored Buckskin with traditional rough side out. Simply decorated with blue Crow Beads and old style Brass Beads.
